The Ending (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
*********************SPOILERS: DO NOT READ IF HAVEN"T YET SEEN******************
Ok...I have just bought the film and i thought it was pretty good for what it was. For being a low budget film, they sure did a great job. Sure, it's not a Michael Bay kind of film, (and not to take anything from him at all) but it was good nevertheless.
I do like how they left much to the imagination. Like the whole conspiracy with the government and these "creatures" or whatever u want to call them. And what exactly happens to Jack and Atticus when they get a hold of them. I also like how they sort of pulled a "Jeepers Creepers" and didn't get into too much in just what the hell those things were. I mean, what i sort of got from it was that they were some type of alien species, but they did leave the audience to decide that a little. With so many movies going into graphic detail and not leaving much to the imagination, it's refreshing to see a movie that goes back to basics. And i did enjoy this movie more than the "Blair Witch Project". That one, to me, was way too over-hyped and not worth seeing as much as they made it to be.
The one thing that did have me going a little was the ending and how that guardian dude basically "saved" Clint from suffering the same fate as Jack and Atticus. I don't know...what did u guys get from that scene? My guess is that when he poured that stuff (i'm guessing it was booze from the dude's expression after sniffing it) on him and said, "it's all scent to them", the booze basically threw off the kid's scent and therefore, threw off the creatures. The dude wanted the kid to survive so he could show what happened. I pretty much figured that from when he mentioned that he's been waiting for people like them. (with cameras)
Well, i just wanted to speculate and maybe get some feedback on the ending. Great film and hope they keep up making good films like this.
