so I was watching a little bit of "The Red Baron" last night

It comes up as a related video whenever you watch clips of FLYBOYS on Youtube.

I remember watching the movie in its entirety and seeing what amounts to a huge (among many other) inaccuracy.

While WWI pilots are always, and I am sure there were a number of them, gentlemen and having decency and compassion the Red Baron was the opposite. Whereas in the movie he was showing his troops to "shoot for the machine and not the man" in reality he championed shooting for the head.

Someone online mentioned the movie is a little like "Flyboys" from the other persepective.

In the opening scene you see the Germans flying towards the funeral with crests on their plane of a Jewish Star, a heart, a circle, and something else. SO CUTE! So... NON-THREATENING! 😁 WHATEVER! 😒

Later we see the Allies coming in and they have a pilot with the Grim Reaper. We all have our sides and the way we face them.

It's funny---watching The Red Baron I still cheered for our boys, in the irony of wishing our main characters to die.
