Thomas Clarkson

I think Rufus Sewell's portrayal of Thomas Clarkson was incredible. It is one of the most beautiful characters in film. I thought everyone was well cast, and I enjoyed ever character, but Thomas Clarkson was by far the most enjoyable to watch.

I agree he was excellent. But wow I have never seen him look so homely! Rufus Sewell is usually such a complete hunk!

I actually thought he was really sexy in this movie. It was definitely the hair.

I love it when the other dude is like "Do any of you saints drink?" And Clarkson/Sewell pulls out the alcohol from his pocket and is like "This one bloody well does!" Made me laugh. He is so fugly though in this movie...he looked a lot better in A Knight's Tale:P

If you're talking about Ichabod Crane as played by Johnny Depp, I did think Thomas Clarkson almost looked like he could be a Johnny Depp character while I was watching Amazing Grace...

hi there. this guy was awesome..yes...i was a lil confused tho as to why he cut his hair at the end when the bill was passed heh. got tired of the wild look i guess lol. but curious..did he ever marry or have children? i remember that one scene in the movie..he is wandering about in a field near some bridge with a baby in his arms (too adorable heh), and Wilber comes calling after him. is that HIS child? pls explain. thanks

I dunno, but I do like that scene too "I was told this same nursery rhyme as a child and I see no reason to spare you the same injustice" or later on after being recalled to London he looks down to the baby and says "Oh, Bollocks".

His character was a nut.
