24 The Game's story contradictory...?

i cant remember much, but i do remember 2 parts of the game, which basically contradict the show...

1)jack claims he brought kim into CTU for her to be safe.
how can he say that, when in the game,(which is her FIRST day on the job,) she gets kidnapped!?!

(next one is debatable)
2)in the 3rd season Kim has to go undercover as Jane saunders so that CTU can interrogate her about her father.
as she's arguing with Jack, she says she HAS weapons training.
but in the game,she doesnt!
while it IS possible she could've gotten training BEFORE season 3 and AFTER the game's story,i would think agents would get all their training done BEFORE they start work.

anyway,what you guys think? :)

reply

1- I doubt he intended for her to get kidnapped, and as his daughter she'd be a potential target outside of CTU. At least at CTU she's close by and has some measure of security around her.

2- Maybe not, since she isn't really a field operative right? I mean, I think all operatives should spend some time at the range, but I could see how she might not be proficient on day 1.

reply

Yea, the only reason she got kidnapped at CTU was because of the lack of security at the time, with Jack, Tony, and all of the teams off on other missions. She would mainly be safe.

Also, she is only an intern in the game. Many of the computer people do not tend to have weapons training, like Chloe.

reply

Spoiler (a bit, though)

Chloe was pretty hardcore at the end of season 4 with the M4 :P, ca't see how she would've done that without weapons training. But maybe she just hardcore.

In Season 2 Kim seemed like she knew how to handle a gun pretty well. I don't get why they say she has no weapons training.

reply

She didn't have OFFICIAL weapons training, but I am sure Jack brought her to a shooting range before.

I assume after she was put in harm's way during the game, Jack made sure she got CTU-certified weapons training.

After the days Kim has been throught I wouldnt be suprised if Jack took her to the shooting range.

What I don't get is why in season 3 her and Adam are still arguing about how she got the jobs when it is two and a half years later.

(Season 3 is set 3 years after 2 and the game is 6 months after season 2)

Also how did she get to be an intern in one of the most crucial jobs in the US after 6 months!

reply

Rememberin Season 2, when the guy pulls over and she shoots the window really fast to get him to buzz off?

Or how quickly she drew the gun in the convenience store?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Jack ensured she could use weapons.

The most dumbass thing was in Season 1, at the compound after Teri shot that guy from My Name is Earl, when Teri put the gun back under the tub where the body was hidden, and took his knife instead. :(

reply

She probably didn't want Kim to have a gun, probably so she didn't kill anyone. (the knife sounds more like a weapon of last resort) remember she is still a kid in series 1 and it must take a lot to kill someone.

I have loads of weapon training, it's called gaming and watching action movies and 24. True Story

Jeez! What's with the random death threaths?

So basically, you don't know dick.

I know how to use a gun, how to properly aim it, what ammo goes with what gun, how to dismantle and clean a basic pistol. The principle of using a gun isn't really rocket-science, you put your bullets in the mag, you put the mag in the gun, chamber a bullet, switch off the safety (if there is one) and then you just aim and pull the trigger.
I know that doesn't make me a soldier since the trick is a lot of practice to get used to recoil and the steps of aiming.
