I initially watched Thief the year it came on FX and I liked it. I then watched it a couple years later and was still impressed.

It had probably been 5 or 6 years now since I last watched it, but I did a marathon viewing of all 6 episodes the other day. WOW. What a great show this was.

I remember Thief being advertised (it seemed) a year or more before it actually aired back in 2006. I actually thought it would never see the air. I don't know what the hold up was at that time, but now from what I've read, FX had planned to make this a full series, but then cut it off at just 6 episodes. Why oh why???

My favorite show of all time, The Shield, was what put FX on the map. I think they had another great series in Thief. What a lost opportunity and disappointing decision to cancel it.

Make that my 4th time now - and every time the credits roll on the last episode, I get a great feeling of disappointment for what might have been with this show.
