Sam has been fired...

That's what the reports say. And the other Wiggles have confirmed it through interviews. And guess who's going to be the yellow wiggle? Greg Page! And as much as I love Greg, I'm not all that happy about this news. I feel bad for Sam. He was just doing his job, and so Greg announced he can perform and so they throw him out. And it sounds like he wasn't expecting it either. And it makes me mad that in interviews, the other Wiggles don't seem to even care about Sam. Anthony was asked how Sam responded, and he just says, "I don't know. I haven't talked to him." That's so cold. I hope he's successful in whatever else he does.

Yes, I saw that myself on the Wiggles page. I too, am not happy about it. I never really cared for Greg. Anthony has always been my favorite, but Sam was second to him. What exactly WAS the illness that Greg had? It always seemed kinda sketchy to me. Any thoughts?

Sounds like they wanted to give it one last horrah as 3 of the 4 have called it quits. I do not think there was anything sketchy about it. Greg did not want to travel the planet anymore because of his health. One tour he could stomach but year after year. So Sam was brought in. Am surprised though that Sam is not coming back for Greg once he leaves again. Honestly the Wiggles are winding down anyways.

One thing I don't get is their choice for replacements. I thought the four understudies that they used for such a long time would have been a better choice. I don't know their names, but there were two guys and two girls that were always in background (at least in the earlier shows), I really liked them.

Oh well.

Greg was diagnosed with a medical condition called Orthostatic Intolerance which means that his heart doesn't pump enough blood through his body while he is standing. Sam was his understudy for quite some time to begin with. I saw a special feature on one of my niece's DVD about how The Wiggles were started. They also talked about Greg's illness and how he couldn't be around crowds or would start to get dizzy right before a concert and Sam would have to be ready to go on in his place. Greg's symptoms worsened in 2005 after he underwent surgery for a hernia. He suffered from dizzy spells, nausea, slurred speech, and headaches. he decided to retire in 2006 because he wanted to focus more on his health and Sam was chosen to be the new yellow wiggle. I still don't understand as to why Sam was fired though to be honest. I knew that he started out as a dancer and was a pirate and the professor but why was he fired? I mean he could have stayed with The Wiggles and just gone back to being a dancer or a pirate again.

No offence. Emma Watkins is doing pretty well as the first female Yellow Wiggle and all of the little ones really like her so much. I'm a big fan of her and I'm friend with her on Twitter & Facebook. I love The Wiggles since I was four years old. So yes, Sam could've been a pirate or a dancer if he wasn't fired he will be on the show because some of the kids like Sam too same with my little cousins in Nova Scotia.

You're friends with her or you follow her? I'm guessing the latter, lol.
