The movie
Hey i was wondering has anyone seen this film yet???? if you have could you please tell me what you thought of it... From what ive read it sounds like a good movie to go and see.

I really enjoyed it. It was basically a soap opera, if soap operas were good. Just a well written, well performed movie... a lot of critics and pundits in this country are very negative about the "state of Australian cinema", but I've seen two great Aussie movies (this and 'Candy') in the last seven days, so it's not like there isn't quality stuff out there.
I'm interviewing Suzie Porter tomorrow, I'm sure she'll have some interesting things to say about her role in this good little flick.

I think too many people bag on Australian cinema. This movie is definitely worth a look...
shareJust saw today. I thought it was good. Not great though. Compelling and beautiful cinematography. The rushed and choppy ending made me feel like I had been cheated out of a better story though. It should have maybe just ended with a flash of the fumbling police man and a still shot of the picnic. Overall it's up there with the best Aussie cinema has to offer in the last 3 years. :-)
