The movie was okay, but I laughed so hard at how they portray the illness of blindness. Blind people dont all just look down. If they know basically where you're sitting, they're gonna look in your direction, right at you. Note how Danny looks dead at the blond girl he takes out on a date to the restaurant (the one he almost has sex with).

well most of the time he was pretty confident, he actually didnt look down that much, his eyes just didnt move that much.

Blindness is NOT AN ILLNESS. It is a disability. Illness may cause blindness, but blindness is caused in many different ways and there are many different types of blindness.
shareYou also have to remember that the person he's playing has been blind his entire life so he wouldn't have the instinct to look at someone when he's speaking to them. I think he probably took that into account as well in his portrayal which I thought was fantastic. He was extremely believable and very natural and you could tell that he very much immersed himself in this role.
He definitely has a very bright future as an actor. :)
