More than 100 years later ( it may be sensitive spoilers here ...)

An allegory of the beggining of film History. Not just Fritz Lang oder Murnau's films are a reference of this movie, but also Karl Gustav Dreyer, George Melies and maybe also Cizizen Kane. Definitely a great technical challenge(well...hmm, 2007??)achievement for an argentinian film. Sadly it was just a bit too out of date making an apology of 3rd. Reich which doesn't convince and thematizes issues enough. But well in Argentina, as well as other countries in south america, the WWII is still an unresolved issue, as many jews and nazis went to the subcontinent. Nice to watch, sadly too "wannabe cute" for 2007 and specially too poor in humor and irony. Argentina has for sure more to offer in drama and intelligence.

Can you recommend a few argentinian films that offer more in their cinematography?

These films also feature some excelent cinematography:

El Aura (Fabién Bielinsky) - in many ways comparable to Roger Deakins.
La Niña Santa (Lucrecia Martel)
Nazareno Cruz Y El Lobo (Leonardo Favio)
Mundo Grua (Pablo Trapero)
El Desierto Negro (Gaspar Scheuer)
La Hora De Los Hornos (Pino Solanas) - a documentary.
