Alan Tudyk

What a fantastic job he did in a totally thankless role. I really respect his performance because a lot of actors will not take a role that is as hated and vilified as his character, Ben Chapman. I thought his performace, accent and attitude were right on the money.

Here's to Steve the Pirate!!

Steve the Pirate. 😂 Yeah, the guy has had a bunch of memorable and worthy roles, but for years Dodgeball is the first thing that would spring to mind whenever I thought of him.

When 42 came along though, his role and performance as the despicable Ben Chapman is the one I started to associate him the most with (then came the likes of Trumbo & Rogue One). He is a top-notch actor and he couldn’t have done a better job in this film.

It's weird how he never became an A-list level character actor like another William H. Macy or a Paul Giamatti. He's always good.
