For me, it has always been Raphael.
Especially after this movie. I think that Ralph carried this movie alone. Oh, well, with a little help of Leo and Casey. The scene where he beats Leo and realizes why he's not a leader is the best and very emotional for me.
Mickey always was my favorite still is, but raph's inner demons and rage issues make him pretty awesome as well, and i think he has the best color scheme. the nice green and the sharp red, he is a very close second for sure!

Although I dig all four of the green guys, I've always had a soft spot for Donatello. It's like he's the most glossed-over turtle, he hardly ever gets the focus or spotlight, so he's kind of the turtle with the most mystery. A mega-nerd with ninja skills? That screams enigma. :)

And Leo has always been my favorite! Maybe it's just because he's like a role model to me. Or maybe it's just cause my subconscious decided I should practically never go with the "norm" and must go for the opposite of the bad boy type.
Also. I don't think Raph carried the movie. In fact, I'm not really sure what you mean by carried. Do you mean it would have sucked without him? Well yes, because he is one of the main characters. But that would have been true if any of the Turtles weren't in the movie.
It is true though that this movie focused primarily on Raph and Leo. There weren't very many Don or Mikey scenes. And it is really a shame that they cut out the scenes that would have given us more of a Don and Mikey dynamic. They were really good scenes, too.

im pretty sure putting mickey instead of mikey wont kill anyone, and its probably a very common mistake. its good to know that the generations of turtle fans grew up to become english teachers!!yaaayy!!

Ok, if your handle is going to be "Robert-Paulson" I'm guessing that it's a "Fight Club" reference and not a TMNT/Animaniacs/Ben 10/Mr. Opportunity reference, other wise you would have said that Raph was your favorite for paying your bills through the 1990s. ;p

With that said, #1 will always be Raph for me, in what ever reincarnation.
All the others are good when the situation calls for. They were all on an even keel in the old cartoons, but Don and Mikey seemed to give a little extra in the movies, and Leo just seemed to come across too much like my dad for my taste, including the over righteousness in the last.
But I still love them all.
P.S. I Love the Loaf as well ;)
Raph has always been my favorite. He and Leo were the only ones who ever had real character development. Don is always there as the smart one but not a very developed character and only seemed like he was just there as an intermediary between Raph and Leo. Mikey never had enough substance for me.

growing up, I had 3 close friends. i was born in 80, fyi. we assigned each other characters. I was Raph. kinda cause I was a smart ass. we did the character assignment for so many things, Lost Boys, Stand By Me, Goonies, even Three Amigos. there was 4 of us, so I got stuck being El Guapo.

Oh please! Leo was kicking Raph's @$$, even while he was wearing his armor. The only reason Raph got the upper hand was because Leo's katanas broke.

Um, note to go with the post, Donatello has always been my favorite. I've loved him since I smuggled the comics from underneath my brother's bed and I loved him and his wacky never-working-right machines that inevitably exploded in the terribly campy 80s cartoon, and I loved him in the new cartoon and in all the movies. I do agree that he's underdeveloped and often ignored, and I'm hoping that if they do continue the series that both Donnie AND Mikey get a chance to get a little spotlight, since they both pretty much get that treatment.
