I started laughing when Elisabeth Röhm tried to cry. This movie is a ripoff of John Q and she is a terrible actress. She should just keep riding her looks to the small screen.

Yes, it is amazing how often TV movies do a rip-off of last year's hit but seem to have a plot worth about an hour with, as you say, bad acting and too much supposed intensity-tenseness faux suspense that drags you along with the faint hope things will get better. Alas, in films like this, they never do.
