The magic of acting.

When the group first tries the ridiculous cover story about satellites, I was, like, going all Biden — C’mon, man! Didn’t director Scott teach us in his previous Enemy of the State that satellites cannot see faces unless they look up? But then he busts it with a red laser pen and calls BS. He just wants the truth, and he’s convincing because he only cares about saving Claire (and the other 568 victims). A little thing like time travel ain’t cramping his style today.

I guess we can give a little credit to Tony Scott and I found Paula Patton very watchable - but I think you're right. Without Denzel it would have been just another time travel type of story.

Denzel was perfect for this movie. Hell he's perfect in pretty much everything he's in. He picks his scripts well. This was a good movie and Denzel just elevates it even further.

Totally agree! You should check Denzel out in, "Fallen," if you haven't already! I LOVE his performance in that movie!
