another denzel 'masterpiece'

imo the most overrated actor of this generation in a long line of not very good movies. i dont like denzel and NEVER have, most if not all of his movies are really not good, and this is yet another one...lemme guess denzel plays a 'tough cop' for the 30th time

OK, hands down, the best Denzel movie is Malcolm X. He was also in Glory and A Soldier's Story, which are outright classics.

Not to mention that 'Hurricane', 'Cry Freedom', 'Remember the Titans', and 'American Gangster' are decent flicks.

'He Got Game', 'Training Day', 'Manchurian Candidate', and 'Flight' are also supremely watchable.

Limit of the Willing Suspension of Disbelief: directly proportional to it's awesomeness.

They're all merging into one, he's a pilot, a train driver, a train controller and they're all the same guy in the same film.

reply

Well yeah, he's the same guy, Denzel. If you just don't like him, I suggest stop watching his movies and move on with your life - you won't be missed.

reply

He is only over hyped because he is black.

I guess that's a step up. A lot of times, bad things are hyped about Blacks.

Denzel's most memorable movies are...

1.Training Day (2001) - 10/10
2.Man on Fire (2004) - 8.5-9/10
3.American Gangster (2007) - 7.5-8/10
4.The Book of Eli (2010)
5.Fallen (1998)
6.Flight (2012) - 7-7.5/10
7.Deja Vu (2006) - 7/10

Funny... If you're dating a Black woman and a Denzel movie comes out, you hafta go see it. So, I get the "hype" argument.

However, I did like Fallen and I enjoyed it very much irrespective of whether it was a Denzel movie. I've never seen Flight but I've wanted to see it. Really liked Deja Vu.
