Fun Movie

This movie is fun and the plot makes sense. We are told that in the near future on earth the corporations are taking power from the governments. That's why the paranoid (company-man) captain is worried about a conspiracy against him from the government (military) people on his ship. The politics on mars are a struggle between priests and warriors - two different sects competing for their own agendas (just like on earth).

The movie also seems like an environmental story. "Watch out earth or our world could disappear too." (Ironically, there was a story that broke on aol the weekend that this movie premiered about the level of environmental damage done to planet earth over the last few years.) There's also a lot of material in Crimson Force that ufo buffs will relate to, but you have to check the ufo websites for that information. But all that is secondary -- the actual fun is watching the movie.

There is action and humor and the movie looks different than most made-for-tv sci-fi flicks. If it wasn't for The Sci-Fi Channel where else would fans get so many new movies every year? I hope they keep making these movies. They are fun.

i agree. we actually *liked* this movie. it was dumb but fun,

Likewise.... there are many worse.. this was pap yes but entertaining pap.

I can live with poor effects but really they could actually go and get 3 scifi fans off the street to tell them where the script could be *ahem* polished *ahem* a little bit better.

Felt the same about the Bruce Campbell one but liked the Alien Siege one a lot. SciFi pictures are at least TRYING!

reply

Do you really, sincerely believe that?

reply

Yes I do and I find your comments derogating anyone who disagrees with your opinions offensive. Just because some people might enjoy a little SciFi pap you suggest we are all "obviously SciFi Channel plants".... yeah right. They pay me to do this of course. And who killed JFK? Was that SciFi Channel plants too?

Anyone got a gif of the guy's head exploding? I didn't watch the rest of the movie after I saw that part

Sci_Fi channel is crap too. All their movies/shows are cookie cutter, everyone of of them has the same basic plot, and cheap FX. Look what they did to Flash Gordon? The only reason they didn't FU Dr Who is because they didn't make it!
