Why 'Crimson Force'?

Can someone please explain why the movie is called "Crimson Force" instead of "Hopeless Joke"? I know Mars is the Red Planet but where's the "Crimson" element? Do people actually get paid for making such garbage? Terase (Teresa?) Livingstone was a cute blonde haired beach babe from Queensland in Oz and here she is black haired and bitchy (vs blonde and beachy, but you got that, right?).

Obviuosly, they were trying to get a series going, but if you keep killing the most interesting characters off in the pilot (I mean IGOR or IVAN the nerdy food processor was a classic! and even though it was good to see an arrogant French man get zapped, he at least had shades of Dr Smith about him from Lost In Space.

But why "Crimson Force"? - May the Crimson be with the person who can answer this request!

The original title was "Crimson Farce".

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

I think the original title was Dark Red Force, but somewhere during production the writer picked up a Dictionary and the rest is (like this film) history.
