In terms of how the characters' costumes are chosen, I think the Brothers Chaps usually go with this little strategy here:
BUBS: A character whose physical and/or mental appearance speaks for itself
THE CHEAT: A short-sized creature/person
COACH Z: A black (that is, African-American) rapper
HOMESTAR RUNNER: A character whose age ranges between 15 and 30
HOMSAR: A wild card-type selection; maybe someone whose appearance might make you laugh your pants off
THE KING OF TOWN: Either a recognizable icon or a character with a white beard and/or mustache
MARZIPAN: Either a woman (H'ween 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2006) or a man (H'ween 2001, 2004 and 2005) with a matching personality
POM POM: Someone who is somewhat big-bodied and cool
THE POOPSMITH: Either cool, animated or anything that is uncommon today
STRONG BAD: Someone whose personality goes well with him
STRONG MAD: Same as Strong Bad
STRONG SAD: Ditto
So maybe based on the list above, maybe you can use it to try and come up with other costume ideas.

it seems more likely that they have homsar as a secret character. Or some kind of side character from media. Seeing as he dresses up as characters like Tingle from Legand of zelda.
i'ld like to see homsar dressed as The Hook Man from the resident evil 4
beta test as he's kind of a secret character and seeing as homsar's quotes
are more or less based on what he's wearing it would be really funny!
