Not enough people got the chance to see the movie. This small movie came out at the same time as some heavyweight in France which is a shame. Therefore, Fragments was not in enough theater. However most of the people who saw this movie love it except some critics at Libération or Inrockuptibles...but don't believe them.

I saw it at EuroCiné 27 yesterday.
Astonishing.
It's been a long time since I saw such a touching-sensitive movie...
I had the same feeling after watching "Das Leben der Anderen".
It's largely under-rated... what a shame.
Go see it if you can !
What an amazing movie, one of the best movies Ive seen. The last scene is so bloody touching, the score when the LP plays is so haunting, and the few short war scenes are so realistic....... and hardly anybody has seen this movie or commented on it.
