Finally a government action that is right. More states need to follow suit.

Yeah i dont wanna make it easier for those illegals to get here.

reply

yeah, let's just do our own lawns and do all the hard labor, because without them, you white *beep* will have to go back to getting paid crap to work all of the crap jobs, hurray for whitey!!!!

I can't believe you would say that. This country was founded on immagrants searching for a better life then they had in their own country. Don't tell me your family is origionally from here, because then that would mean you are some sort of native american. In which case your point makes sense. If not then I don't know what you have against immigrants because the settlers that landed at plymouth rock were immigrants themselves. And if you are a descendent from them then you are an immigrant too.

I live in Arizona and this isn't good news. This is just another attempt to spread xenophobia and make Hispanics into some kind of sacrificial target.

reply

Arizona sucks. I had to make a few stops there one time I made a trip and I love just about every other place of the United States except that one. Forget xenophobia, those guys have a phobia for themselves.

reply

Well there are things I don't like about every state I've lived in (Texas, Colorado, Alaska, California, Rhode Island and AZ) but to make a blanket statement that AZ sucks on just your few anecdotal visits isn't very intuitive.

reply

Well, perhaps you're right. But really, spending one day there with everyone I came across treating my family and me as if we were part of a leper colony is not the kind of thing that makes you want to go back.

The landscape is beautiful, though. I'll give it that.

It is unfortunate when people behave that way, but sadly it isn't geography because people can be that way in ANY state. People are pretty much the same wherever you go- some are nice some are not. It does make me embarrassed when people who belong to the same state, organization or group as me behave badly. I try to remember I am not only representing me, but my race, state, sex, and whatever else I can be identified by.

And yes, the landscape is beautiful- like the good people. :)
