Release dates?

I haven't heard about any specific release dates, but my educated guess would be that the film will debut at either the Melbourne International Film Festival (July 25-August 10) or Sydney International Film Festival (June 4-22) this summer before a wide release in Australia, then possibly international distribution. (That last part is always the hardest to guarantee, but with the cast involved I'd say it stands a good chance, and will certainly have an international DVD release.) Australian indies tend to debut at film festivals either in Australia or abroad before being distributed to cinemas. A larger-scale festival like Venice or Toronto might give the film better chances of international distribution, but it's too early to predict at this point.

Unless you're a production insider on the film who feels kind enough to share some info with us fans, that is. :)

Don't know about the wider theatrical release but they're having the world premiere at Dungog's Film Festival on May 30
