average film

I'm a big fan of aussie films, for the most part. I was excited to finally see this film but thought it was average and very long. Pia Miranda is very over rated & in my opinion shes one of the most annoying actresses this country has to offer. I think rose and the cinematography saved this film.

Bland is all I can use to describe this film. I suppose without a great script, you simply cannnot create anything else. It sincerely lacked those moments that could make a rather tepid drama memorable. It was very much like a beautifully shot and produced television movie that included some fine talent, but lacked passion, heat, allure.

Many British dramas of this nature are shown on television here all year. However, our subject matter is usually more compelling. With all due respect to this films creators, with something as pedestrian in nature as a period love triangle, you simply won't draw much attention without something more bawdy, carnal, spicy. Otherwise, it's a well produced, unmemorable and very expensive television movie.

I don't know, I'm no critic. Every time it got the least bit compelling it would fade-out, cut away...Ok, it was less about the sex and more about the drama of it all. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything dramatic enough that I could relate to, or somehow live vicariously through.

Certainly not a movie I would recommend on any level. Still, I know it wasn't terrible. It all felt very tame and familiar. And not familiar in a good sense.

Hahah noticed that, too, about her; just saw it tonight on TV. However I thought it was a nice movie, with great characters. Lots of great drama and nothing pompous, really good. The questions between thugs about the boss, the girl, all the other dialog; the turns (and SO much more). At the end, will she knock on the glass again? What's the meaning of the last shot - a murky view, separation, there can be many questions (or not :)). From the first to the very last frame, this movie is alive (and also filled with death). Pretty awesome, actually. So, in conclusion, you guys are tripping. There. :)
