Poorly Written Police *SPOILERS*

This movie was alright. The Police force was far from believeable. The only thing that was cool about this movie is that the pirate was killing descendants of the original pirates that landed on cutters cove because they deceived him. ( i think unless i got the whole movie wrong). Oh and the black guy getting owned by his own arm, that was funny. The only reason why I even bothered to watch this was due to the comment made on the page, That guy must have watched a REALLY bad movie to think this one was good.

The police were ridiculous. Like the cop who said he couldn't determine the time of death because the body had "lost all it's blood"

WTF?

I think the guy who wrote this screenplay must have been starved for oxygen in the womb. Seriously. Someone should behead him before he makes another movie.

reply

That line wasn't in the script. It was improvised on set (partly to make that cop a source of comic relief). And when you shoot a movie in 9 days and get it in Blockbuster and on the Sci-Fi Channel, you let me know.

"Do we have any idea what the murder weapon was?" "Not yet"

Ok, the one chick still had a stick with a marshmellow on it stuck through her head, which makes no sense, how does a stick push through the back of someone's head, and have the marshmellow still on the end. And you have two witnesses say they saw him cut the dude's head off with a sword.

Ok my friends were all just killed, "When can I get my car back?"

The main couple has been together for two monthes, and she wants to spend their lives together...

This movie is baaaaad. I mean, they had four kills in the very beginning. A really big, exploitation film...

And later on the main cop goes 'do we know what the murder weapon was', and the guy goes 'no idea, but it was something sharp'. No idea?? How could he have no idea? People's heads are being sliced off, so you'd have some idea, right? This film was pathetic. As for 'getting it into Blockbuster', wow, heck of an achievement! If you think an achievment is to make pathetic movies with bad actors and rip off honmest to decent horror genre fans... that sort of thinking makes me puke. It would be better for everyone involved if this film HADN'T been made. Show me one person who enjoyed this and I will show you an idiot.

As I said, many of the police lines were changed/improvised on set, and it was a very fast shoot. And yes, it is an achievement to get into Blockbuster. Ask any maker of a low-budget film. Do we wish we had the time/money/resources to make a better film? Certainly. Many things are beyond the writers' and director's control. Making a feature film is a huge COMPROMISE on all fronts.

When you make a better movie, please let everyone know.

Just because you can make a movie in 9 days, doesn't mean that you should make a movie in 9 days. If it was a movie that had something original to offer...but not this one, it was a pretty much a rip off of that Fog movie

Flim Springfield!

>When you make a better movie, please let everyone know.

That's the lamest excuse I've ever heard for making an awful movie.

Many things are beyond a writer and a director's control... but the choice to make an awful film isn't.

reply

Oh come on. I like to think i'm not an idiot but didn't this film fit into the whole 'so bad its good slot'? I mean, that dialogue can't have been conceived, scripted and shot as an attempt at serious horror? It was an awesome, camp pile of crud. Perfect for a brain in neutral, few beers type of night in. No offense Millman, I'm getting that you were involved in the making of it somehow?!

Plus, the female heroine was fit as hell. Lets have her pole dancing for the sequel!!
