Why did Alba take the role if she hated it?

She had no respect for the movie and didn't seem to like it... and I can't blame her lol.

"It's porn [Good Luck Chuck (2007)]. There were all these actresses who got conned into being completely naked. Some were strippers, probably. But every day when I was done, I ran away. I was like, "Bye". As long as they didn't disrespect me, I could give a rat's butt."

do IMDB people have nothin better to do? =P

I didn't like the film but I find her attitude kinda stuck-up. Ok you made it. You don't have to do things to get noticed or get parts. But don't knock the ones who are still trying. With Alba's lousy taste in picking film roles she should be keeping a very low profile so as to not be noticed!

Sheldon:"Was the starfish wearing boxer shorts? Because you might have been watching Nickelodeon".

Yes man. Some of the women were probably strippers..really? That sounds like a really judgmental comment right there.

And why did she pick this role? Because Jessica Alba usually picks *beep* movies. Does Honey and Fantastic Four come to mind?

I suspect you don't always know exactly what you're getting into.

You read a script, you sign a contract...the script changes, raunchy scenes are added...you can't back out anymore because you signed a contract...etc...

Fell in love with Jessica Alba since Idle Hands!

That said, she shouldn't act like her 5h!t don't stink! As 2nd poster said, their are many others still struggling to make it and they figure this is the way (though in this universe, seldom happens).

And I mention this in a neighboring thread, but she's WRONG, a doc on the Unrated DVD covers the montage and Dane & the producers confirm the ladies were each trying to TOP each other sex scene-wise just to make the final cut. Each one apparently "more crazier" then the last. Knowing women trying to get their big break, I believe it. No way anyone was coaxed into doing those scenes! Alba is full of p00!

Even if that were true (as if the producers are going to say anything else?), it still doesn't mean Alba should have liked it, nor that she is stuck up, just because she didn't like it.

You say it yourself, there are all these young actresses trying to get their big break, and it doesn't always take a lot to make them do "crazy *beep* but that doesn't mean producers should first create the circumstances for them to do that, and afterwards be all innocent and say no one was forced and they all wanted it themselves.

Especially because we all know that doing such a scene, does not give any of the girls "her big break".

Plenty of actors, male and female, have a laugh at their choices in hindsight. Why can't she do the same? Besides, what is the context of that quote? Was she getting interviewed and asked directly about the film? Yea, it is unprofessional of her, but it is such an embarrassment of a film, can you really blame her.

They've been showing it on cable recently and it definitely hasn't aged well or gotten any better from when I saw it in 2008. Everyone associated with this garbage film should be throughly embarrassed by the fact. Dane Cook flamed out after 2008 (his peak) and this was the director's first (and last) shot at directing a motion picture... lol. And don't get me started on the fatso with the brillo pad for hair screaming about trim... At least the dirty talking ice cream girl was cute.
