I hope it stays true to the book

I hope this movie stays truer to the book then most movies I have seen that are based on books. I have seen too many that just pretty much take the title and the names of the characters and that is were the similarities end, i.e. Practical magic, Forrest Gump, Sleeping with the Enemy, Under the Tuscan Sun and so on. I know that they have to cut some things out and make it fit into a 2 hours TV movie, and to keep in interesting and I know that the book is very wordy at times but I hope they do not sacrifice the plot or the integrity of the story for time sake.

What does everyone else think?

I agree!! But based on what ive seen, the previews look right on so far..but those can be very deceiving...soo who knows..but i hope the movie stays on track...because this book is amazing..

i hope they'll include all the roommates in New York, especially Lane..but they'll probably just show Simon

Lane was a very good character I hate to see her left out of the movie. But we will see what happens when hollywood gets there hand on it.

I was thinking the same thing. The first title that came to my mind (great book, disappointing movie) was Practical Magic, too.
I can't imagine how you can squeeze such a long book into a tiny made-for-TV two hour slot, especially when the main character is such an introvert!

No, Lane was in the movie. Unfortunately, so were her eyebrows..
