Movie goofs

Okay, so Nora's water breaks and she goes into labor while they are aboard the canoe. All good and fine. But later when they get to shore and the guys are carrying her up the path, the crotch of her shorts are dry as a bone. If her water REALLY broke, her pants would be soaked. Been there. Done that.

Also, once she goes into the delivery room, only about two or three minutes of UNINTERUPPTED film time pass before her husband comes out asking grandpa to come meet the new member of the family. Yeah, right. Once we get in there, we find the baby is all cleaned up, bright and perky (looks like she's really about a month old). Newborns are all slimy, wrinkled, kind of yellow-grey in color, and bright red, if not downright black and blue from coming down the birth canal. At least they didn't try to smear ketchup on her forehead, like some movies in the past trying to simulate being newborn.

I think it's time newborns in film be shown exactly the way they really are when they first come out.

Not always. When i had my son 9th January 2010 my waters trickled on and off the whole day. Only a few times did they actually soak through my underwear, but never my trousers/pants.

Newborns are all slimy, wrinkled, kind of yellow-grey in color, and bright red, if not downright black and blue from coming down the birth canal.

Contradiction there yellow-grey in color, and bright red? Shouldn't that say OR?
Newborns are not always all slimy. Because i had my son 24 hours after my waters went when he was finally born 36 hours after my waters started trickling/gushing he was almost completely if not all dry. And he was very grey (due to not breathing). He had no blood on him except for that from the cord.

My son was wide eyed for about two hours afterwards and didn't get his colour (pink) until about 12 hours later. He was wide eyed for the two hours because they had to stimulate him to get him to breathe.

I don't know why the sacrifice didn't work. The science was so solid.

What about the fact that if 2 years had passed, then things happened awfully fast after the first movie. Nora found herself a husband and got married right away.

Also the last time they had been at the lake would have been during the first movie.

i know this is a 4 year old topic. but there is an error here. 'the last time they were at the lake' was not during the first movie. it was before the final set of boys were born. remember the scene where they talked about how they were concieved at the lake? thats how they got their middle names

after the scene when the canoe falls down there a quick scene of the bakers eating dinner. if u look closely u will see anne murtaugh (jaime king) having dinner with them even though at this point of the movie, they havent been introduced yet.
