I wouldn't make an American version... it would mean rewriting a lot of the jokes (obviously all the British humour would be lost) & situations, which would ruin it.

Well, we're not that inept when it comes to lesbian love, so it would work better than, say, Shameless.

As for the OP dream cast, I must say that I feel that a majority of the girls are too old for the parts.
