i myself havent seen this movie but im just curious as to why the title of the movie is "No. 2"

I live next door to the house that this movie was shot at. They sent us a letter about it and the film was actually going to be called Nana Maria.
shareI'm pretty sure it's actually to do with the naming of her successor - if the grandmother is number 1 then her successor will be number 2. It was originally a play and as far as I recall there was no mention of the address in the play.

i read the play a couple weeks ago, and yep the number of the house is "2" - and i guess you could it's still symbolic of her successor being no2, but actually, how important is the successor in the storyline of the play/film? it's more about the family's relationships than any kind of 'inheritance'
