such science!

If the pole was shifting it would still be at one spot. The freezing effects would still only affect the polar area.
There's no reason why an absolute zero would occur. There is nowhere on earth that gets that cold.
If the pole moved to Miami it would arrive in one fell swoop. The polar conditions would spread out from there.
The shift as presented in this film arrived piecemeal and then encompassed the earth only in the already existing tropical area, in a ring around the earth. With new poles there would have to be a new tropical area. That would be determined by the new poles, If Miami were one pole location, the other would be off the coast of Western Australia.
The new equator would be passing through Eurasia, Africa and along the east coast of Argentina.
The polar ice would be melting but it would take awhile and would cause considerable flooding.

...and what if the Earth shifted so that the poles fell on Poland?
