About the dog?

Did anyone cry or be sad because the dog (Chewy) dies?

reply

It was sad,but I definetly didn't cry.I mean c'mon it's just a movie, right?Besides it makes you fill better when you here on the DVD feature Making of Bloody Mary that the girl who played Mary was sad about the dog.I thought that was nice.

It was incredibly horrible that poor doggy got killed, but the dummy was so fake looking I couldn't feel a bit of sadness lol.
..sometimes dead is better..

I didn't cry. But c'mon! Did they really have to kill the dog. I mean, he didn't hurt anyone.

Vic Mackey: "God creates all men equal. Out of the womb, he starts playing favorites."

reply

That's exactly how I felt!!! He didn't do anything to Mary so why did he have to die?!?!

reply

That was the only thing about the movie that I truly hated

The death of the dog should have been removed from the film
It was horrible

I'm a dog lover too, but (1.) it's just a movie, and (2.) the dog's death is an important part of the urban legend that Mary is re-enacting: 'People can lick too.'

reply

If that weird bitch did that to a dog and I were around I'd have lopped her head off with a shovel and peed down her neck, then put her head back on backwards so the old rotting corpse could see me when I kicked her skinny, decomposing ass.

Okay people like this piss me off. They can watch a movie and see people die in horrific ways and not feel any emotion at all, some even laugh, but as soon as the movie shows a dog or cat dying they go ape *beep* Like its been said before. Its just a movie. Dont get me wrong I love animals. But c'mon? NOTHING really happened to the damn dog. Look at the credits "no Animals were harmed in the making of this film." Lighten up!

reply

Its because people have a certain selfishness (or relly, evilness) whereas dogs are so pure and innocent. There is no reason to do anything to them.

But of course I didn't cry when the dog died (and it was Rottweiler too, Rotties make the bestest dogs!). I actually laughed because the "dead dog" loked so hilarious, like a cheap stuffy one would win at a fair.

reply

at least it's not like that movie men behind the sun where they actually kill 2 cats in the making.

i'm halfway through the bloody mary movie, now i don't wanna finish it :(

Even though I know it's fake, I usually hate when animals die in movies. However, the dead dog in this movie was so fake looking that it didn't bother me at all.

They were just trying to work an actual urban legend into the movie (the same one that the movie crew filmed in 'Urban Legend 2'), but it had no place in this movie and therefore didn't work at all. The same was true with the the other UL they used in the same sequence with Buck at the motel -- the deal with the candy machine. Neither of these plots had anything to do with Buck's death and were completely superfluous.
