Hey everyone,
I just wanted to get an opinion on if Paheli is better than Parineeta or why not. I want to see both the movies, however since the theatre prices are so high, I will just see one in theatres. So, which one is better? Thanks.

i heard Parineeta is better than paheli but i'll have 2 see it 4 myself. Paheli i watched and i disagree with anurag i think paheli was a good movie but if u have 2 choose 1 im not sure ur taste in movies if ur in the mood 4 a fairytale and things that can obviously not happen in real life and love story go 2 Paheli. I guess Parineeta would be a more realistic movie and serious if thats your type of movie go there.

Parineeta is definitely better. If SRK is not in the movie, I doubt it would even cause a stir. Not saying the movie is bad, just not as good as Parineeta.

Its got to be Parineeta. A great movie, worth your money. As its only 2 hours long..you can sneak into Paheli afterwards...haha...
I have not seen Paheli yet, but all these reveiws about how crap it is..is kinda putting me off...

I saw Parineeta 2. I disagree with some of u Paheli wasn't that bad obviously the ghost getting a woman pregnant was messed up but its fantasy wtf do u expect? Anyway Parineeta was a much better movie almost flawless except in the end i think they over did it when Saif was about 2 break that wall his dad made next 2 his neighbours house, every1 started telling him 2 break it which was abit over the top. It wouldn't have been to bad if his friend encouraged him to break it but every1 else doing it seemed weird. But all in all i think Parineeta was a much better movie and i wished i had gone to c that in the theatre instead of Paheli.
lvr8901 how can u say that Parineeta had a lot of songs, and they were all good songs, Paheli's songs sucked big time except for dheere jalna which was just average
shareI agree that Parineeta was a good movie. In fact it was excellent. Saif, Sanjay,Vibha were all excellent. The problem with this movie is that there were too many songs. Every 5 to 10 mins another song would appear and that pissed me off.And the movie was really heavy.
If your looking for a light movie stick with Paheli.
Paheli has Rani and Shahrukh, whose chemistry is amazing. Not only that, the story line and the songs were very good.

sharePaheli for the main reason that we get very less movies based on folk tales and with a fantasy look And whereas Parineeta is such a bookish treatment and it just was made to cash-on Devdas and Begali trend.You dont have any impact on seeing Parineeta and it certainly wont add anything to you if you have seen it whereas Paheli even with its flaws is an experince to be seen.
shareall hindi movies are based on the folk takes and fantasy crap.. how do u explain the main characters dancing on a nice hilly location surrounded by 100 dancers in the blink of an eye? they all r the same anyway!
parineeta is definitely the better choice.. even for oscar i would hv voted for it cos of the fine treatment given to every detail of the movie, from the characters to the story telling.
