Why was Stone Cold the leader of the ECW group? He didn't contribute as much as Dreamer or Taz, but yet he gets to bark out all the orders to the ECW men. "Benoit, give me a flying headbutt." Isn't this supposed to be an anti-authority group of guys who didn't listen to anyone? I don't know about you, but I think Stone Cold should not have been used as the leader; he ruined the end for me.
shareIt was more like Stone Cold was the "most known" there. Austin started in ECW with his gimmick as a Tough S.O.B, after he got fired from WCW. He enjoyed working there becasue Paul let him do what he wanted, something WCW wouldn't. Plus, he has a history with the WWE wrestlers. If someone like Kid Kash (for example) called out the wrestlers, it wouldn't of worked really.
Plus Dreamer did a couple of spots in his match, which took him out (with the cheese grader and the flaming table, no way he could of done the mic work, Taz had the spot with Angle (which Taz could of done what Austin did though - but they wanted to use Austin in that matter and have Taz come out after Austin)
With the Benoit headbut, Austin wasn't "telling him" to do it, it was more like "Beat his a*s." - which was a part of ECW, A*s kicking.

well ya gotta remember Steve Austin is barenone thee biggest star to have ever come out of ECW. the only part of the ppv that sucked was the spot for Batista vs HHH, which im sure no ecw fan gave a sh it about, and when they made gertner looks like a bi tch. i did however like when stone cold was adlibbing in the ring and said "Ya lil JBL, ...with your little yella tie". prolly the worst cutdown in history, but the way he says it cracks me the f uck up
share*beep* bunch of WWE n00bs you guys are, you ain't true ECW fans you wouldn't know the meaning of the word. Austin had a small run in ECW and there were MUCH MUCH bigger stars from ECW fans that everyone in the hammerstein ballroom would've much rather lead the ECW to victory.
shareBesides Taz, RVD,Sandman, and Sabu, I think Balls and Axel got the biggest reaction. WWE just sucks for cutting Sandman's Entrace for the DVD. That is why I am glad I TIVOed it. Plus it was funny what the Sandman did to all the WWE starts sitting up top.

listen goon, ive been watchin ecw since 97, so suck it bia. now as i said, Austin was barnone thee biggest superstar to ever COME OUT OF ECW, i didnt say he was ecw's biggest star, you dick cheese. after ecw, Austin headlined 3 WrestleManias, feuded with Bret Hart, and won 6 WWE Championships. btw- LouWorldOrder O_o, there were no spelling errors in my post, if you think "bia" is a spelling error i guess you dont have quite as a successful job AND life that you think you do.........you lil bia. and for the record, I LIKED the invasion angle. the live audience obviously did not, but the JBL promo, the chants directed at the booth, and eventual dismantling of eric bischoff were things that just couldn't be unenjoyed. one last thing, if my last post "didnt make sense" to you, try studying up junior, becuz everything i said there was 110% FACT...........SUCKA!!!!
