Was this movie's message underwhelmed by its ending?
For the first 90% of the movie, it seems like it wants to tell us that all people have the capacity for both good and evil, and ending suffering/conflict isn't as simple as stopping one "bad guy". Wasn't this completely undermined when it turned out that Ares actually was manipulating both sides, and the way to end WW1? And all Diana had to do at the end of the day, was to punch him to death with the power of love.
