Anyone else wish Gal and Pine's romance was more fleshed out?
We only had one scene which really indicated love. If there was more, for me, that would make Pine's sacrifice have much more of an emotional impact than it really did.

shareI don't think their love could be too fleshed out, the relationship is profoundly unequal, and very much based on a shared quest. I mean they're not even the same species or mortal status, you know it can't really work and that they don't have the leisure to discuss their feelings, yet it becomes profound in the end.
But IMHO the fact that the relationship is a bit awkward and one-sided gives it dramatic tension, yet didn't interfere too much with the action.
