So Wonder woman is now bi? Are these people idiots or what?

What kind of dumb ass attention seeking nerd idea is this now? I think all queers are in this business that's why. Disgusted and tired of these bis and weirdos.

reply

Did you read the article? The reason I ask is because I had a similar thought process initially but reading on it actually made perfect sense. The term 'queer' for the record does not mean gay or bi-sexual, in relation to the comments about Wonder Woman it refers more to the dynamics of Themysciran relationships in the absence of men. Does it mean WW chows down on sushi with abandon? Of course not. But it make sense that Themysciran culture would function much like an all-female prison. Some inhabitants would get by with only masturbation and some would succumb to the human need for physical contact. Whichever category WW falls into is anyone's guess but to imagine Diana is 4900 years old (in the solo movie) and has never kissed anyone until she meets Steve Trevor is, while not impossible, at the very least unrealistic.

reply

Are you that stupid to have the need to talk about masturbation and crap like that?

reply

My goodness, are you such a prude that even the word 'masturbation' offends you?! Sheesh!

reply

Diana is 4900 years old

at the very least unrealistic

Can you compare human sexuality with 4900 years old sapient balls of dirt?

Maybe I'll rent it on dvd from redbox. This was the last strike for me.

reply

Maybe don't be homophobic?

Just a thought.

reply

I'll stick to my Biblical values, you can have the world's values.

reply

Yes, let's pray to a non existent God who believes in an eye for an eye, wives to be controlled by their husbands, and sacrifices of your children/siblings to show your faith. All in a book that was written by man ages and ages ago, who probably played the worlds longest game of telephone and told the stories to their kids, who in turn, told the stories, however so slightly different, to their kids, so on and so forth.

Have fun with that.

reply

I'll have fun with God, my Savior, for all eternity. Looking forward to it!

reply

Man, are you going to be disappointed.

reply

Yeah, good luck with your toilet values, we'll see how you degerate into a bunch of welfare recipient junkies in the end.

reply

I'll stick to my Biblical values

If people actually stuck to "Biblical values", they would either be in jail or dead.

reply

Seems to be just one writers interpretation of things and nor DC making it official like they did with Batwoman.
It does reek of pandering though and a ploy for attention.

1. BVS 2. TWS 3. Avenger

reply

I'm not but maybe the queers need to stop wanting so much attention? Need to make an icon into a queer for what exactly? Because you think it's cool or it's in style or crave attention?

reply

You will know you are joining millions of others in that. Changing ones sexual identity to get around a talk about not having a diverse cast is not the solution. That should have been addressed in the casting from the start. The come see the white people movie with the gay person in it will just be a white people audience.

reply

It's in the comics (source material) moron. Someone didn't just wake up a few days ago and think to themselves, "hmm, lets stir things up and make Wonder Woman bi."

reply

And, yet, that is exactly what just happened.

reply

HaHa!
The butthurt continues.

Thanks again DC. The laughs never end.

I read ww as a kid in the 50s and early 60s I loved comics when I was a kid,i was going to see this movie with my youngest grandsons but now that the Hollywood leftist have highjacked it to promote a political agenda for the gays the uproar has taken what would have just been a fun time and ruined it,this is happening to a great many movies and its hurting the box office its got to stop,ww is a comic book hero just let the fans have a good time and stow the pc bs.thanks for destroying another childhood memory and fyi ww is straight she had a longtime boyfriend and husband back in the day.

reply

Apparently you're nkt familiar with the source material. It's always been danced around. An open secret of sorts. If course the general audience will take it as some sort of pandering.

reply

So, you loved the 50's and 60's Wonder Woman comics... where WW and other female characters were pretty constantly being wrestled with and spanked by other women, and you never thought.. hey, maybe Diana likes wrestling with and spanking/being spanked by other women?

reply

ur so lame...
trolls are so lazy it´s not fun anymore

reply

She always has been, if not openly stated. Have you not read the comics? Are you not aware of the history? The character of Wonder Woman was written by William Moulton and his wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston along with their live in female partner, Olive Byrne. Moulton always made it clear that Diana was based on parts of both his wife and their female lover. After Moulton died, Elizabeth and Olive continued to live together as a couple. The early comics make it pretty clear (at least for what could be gotten away with during that time) that there's romance going on between the women on Themyscira and that Diana has been a part of it. She literally grew up on an island that was solely inhabited by women and only saw her first man when she was a full grown adult. Think about it. They weren't nuns.

reply

Even though I appreciate the background information, why is this such a big issue? Who cares what the writers had to say. The solo movie is not going to focus on Diana being gay or bi. This should be the least of everyone's concerns.

reply

For that, you'd have to ask the interviewer who asked the question?
Though I will note, a whooooole lot of people seem to be really invested in her being straight.

reply

The interviewer who asked the question is not my concern. It's just amazing why this topic has received so much attention.

reply

Straight guys will still love watching it. Seems a cheap demographic to please. Times really haven't changed and two women is the safest route when doing anything "controversial". Not that they had, bi and gay people always existed. The few that might be interested in a relationship you can just say "no" to then move along like how normal people would, the only difference is which gender is asking the question.

FWIW, Diana is probably bi-curious toward men as she's used to women. I never cared how they procreated, or if they had at all. The show is fantasy, their magical land could probably stunt growth, I just accepted the premise and watched and opined on the issues and episodes made.

But if people want to watch shows about peoples' sex lives, aren't Maury and Jerry good enough?
