Will we see Diana in modern day or not? (spoilers)
I believe I once saw a set pic of Jenkins and Gadot walking with a Wayne Enterprises truck behind them. It certainly didn't look like a 1920s truck lol
I wonder if we'll see her in present day and that it shows us what she does nowadays. I don't think that the film will end with Superman's arrival, but it could be on the news if she's somewhere else or something, but I don't think the film needs it or that it adds that much. Either way, Wayne Enterprises exists longer than today so it depends from where on that truck could've been made which means it could take place in any modern era.
Either way, I think we really can expect to see the ending taking place in modern day. I do wonder what room that gives them once they make a sequel to it tho.. Would've loved to have seen a Wonder Woman film set in the 70s or 80s. Then again, since she's not Superman when it comes to strength and IMO the stories don't always have to be about saving the world (i.e. the Black Zero event in MoS which changed the world) and on top of that she's more hidden in society which certainly helps. Again, would love to see a WW sequel set in a different decade. Plenty to choose from lol and it's going to be funny to see a Wonder Woman trilogy with each film set in a different decade while Gadot hardly ages :P fits the character.
Then again, each of her films could also be set in wartimes. Perhaps the second film set in WWII and the third in either modern day with interactions of the League or some new event or set in the Cold War. idk, what setting would you like for the sequels?
btw: I hope Jenkins gets to make the trilogy, I love the idea of the same directors making trilogies of their superheroes. The one superhero I would like to see a different director at the helm of for each film in his (solo)trilogy is Superman. Don't let me be misunderstood tho, I dig his work and I quite liked his handheld approach to Man of Steel, but I'm just eager to see another director's vision for a Superman film. I still feel like he's the hardest character to adapt for the big screen. However, I must say I like how he's the main character so far. Man of Steel/BvS/JL really is his story, his trilogy.
War, what is it good for?
