Who's skipping the theatrical release...?

... and waiting for the extended bluray edition?

reply

That would be the best idea.

reply

I am. And I'm a WW fan.

reply

If they cut the waterfall scene from the movie then I would guess that would be a seller thing for the bluray.

well, when movie prices jumped in the mid 2000's i went ahead and maxed out my home entertainment center. Since then I havent been to the theatres. I reckon its paid for itself. Every movie is 1-2 dollars instead of 20-25 it would be to take my wife. plus we can pause, and no one kicking the seat. if we could just get blockbuster back i could watch old movies. if its out of redbox, i have to buy it. so everynow and then i will buy a blue ray, its still cheaper than going to see it in theatres to buy the damn thing. Theatre model like many other sectors has made numerous decisions contrary to logic, the most recent being reserved seating. their funeral i guess. for $2000 you can totally trick out your living room top to bottom, and after 100 movies youve come out ahead. How many movies does marvel alone have? 20?

reply

You can always go to the ones where the seat reclines, so you don't have worry about someone in back of you kicking your seat. I, personally cannot wait the 3-4 for the blue-ray release so I'm seeing WW when it comes out in theaters.

yeah, at first it was tough, but now i am 6 months behind everything so its not an issue. like i just saw BVS from redbox it was awesome! also just saw civil war. spider man was awesome. I think Xmen is coming to redbox soon. and then it will be time for suicide squad. by the time they hit redbox i forget all the spoilers.

with the money i save i can afford hbo. westworld alone is better than 99% of movies i have ever seen.

We did go to one movie last year in theatres. The nice guys. We got those recliner seats. They were horrible. THere was a wall in front of the recliner so if you recline you cant see the film. also you had to choose your seat before entering the theatre. THEN there was commercials! When DID THEY START HAVING COMMERCIALS BEFORE MOVIES?!?!?! Like i said, its their funeral.

reply

True, that is the drawback, you have to make reservations and take what is available. I do enjoy when they bring your food, but it can be extremely pricey. To me, if I enjoyed the movie, than it's worth it. If I didn't, than I will just skip out on Blu-ray.

reply

They will confirm that there won't be anymore extended versions after SS.

reply

reply
