Gal Gadot in the Comic-Con trailer

I didn't think she was the best part of Batman v. Superman (And yes, even I think there were some good points to BvS despite its many flaws.) but when I saw that trailer when it first came out and saw the shots of her coming out of the trenches, I really felt my adrenaline pumping through my veins. She looked totally iconic and right out of the comic book.

If you have read my posts on Justice League's board, (The recent ones, NOT the first one I put there which was nothing but a big ol' troll attempt) I am more than a little nervous regarding these two films. Maybe it's because so much is riding on them for DC to make a stable Cinematic Universe to rival Disney/Marvel's successful series. I did want BvS to fail, but if they do Justice League and Wonder Woman much better, then I will be happy and satisfied at the same time. I don't want Wonder Woman to fail, is what I am saying, basically. Let's face it, after around twenty films centered around Batman or Superman, it would be nice to see some of DC's other more prominent properties on the big screen. Especially Wonder Woman. She is literally the first lady of DC Comics, in my opinion, and one of the first major Female Superheroes who don't really depend on men. I really like Diana as a character and find her fascinating, so I am hoping they don't screw this film up, because it could be really inspirational for women out there.

Personally, I really liked the trailer and if the film is as good as the job they did with the scenes in the Trailer, it's going to be a home-run hit. I'm cautiously optimistic about the film, but holding out hope. And, if they continue on the similar vein of shooting extended editions like BvS and Suicide Squad, I will more than likely go for the Extended version of Wonder Woman.

And believe it or not, I'm not upset that Zack Snyder is one (Keyword ONE) of the screenplay writers (Geoff Johns being one of the other guys). If he is making the action scenes, this film will blow me away. He makes pretty great action scenes and uses some good Computer Generated Imagery in the process. Watching the scenes in the trailer invoked the cool action scenes from 300 and Sucker Punch, two films of his I highly enjoy.

So, in short, I think Gal, who wasn't one of the best things in BVS, looks practically iconic to me in the trailer. You go Gal!

A lot of people are of the same opinion as you. I have heard some say she was the spark in BvS whereas, some say she didn't have much of a part to pass judgement.

If they just have Zack Snyder do the action, Geoff Johns write the story, and have a GOOD director make the movie and put it together, WB would have a solid DCEU.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

I agree with your statement about Snyder, Geoff Johns, and the other thing. Also, I like your line at the end about what is missing in movies and tend to agree with it. Live long and prosper and may the Force be With you!
