First off this movie was *beep* lets not pretend otherwise. Second...ok it was the little boy all along, i get that, but what did that have to do with the strange light in the cave? Why did the power drain from everyones batteries? And why did the lights go on and off when he was near?

Are you talking about "The Thing" or "Within"? I've seen them both and I can't think of two movies further apart on my movie opinion list. Within is beyond terrible, I could barely finish it. The Thing is one of my favorite all time movies. I've been watching it since I was like 5 years old. Great, great movie. One of the best films about how an isolated group of people react under pressure.
