I liked this movie!

I don't get the Descent being better.
I prefer this movie.
Maybe that's because I saw it first.
It was more claustrophobic and shot wonderfully to accentuate that effect.
Also the explanation (a real human being, abandoned in the cave turning into an "animal") was more realistic than the creatures in the Descent.

This is simply the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. We struggled to watch the entire film, I can't begin to even understand why the lady at the video store let us get this film, or why it was ever released in the first place. I am ashamed to have watched such rubbish. It doesn't even deserve the 3.7/10 that it should currently be proud of.

I thought this film was really good as well. The characters were genuinely likable and well-drawn, the acting was solid, there was plenty of tension, and the ferocious attack scenes deliver the gory goods. I agree with you about the ending being very effective, too.

I enjoy keeping busy. Satan finds work for idle hands.

This movie was pointless and silly. The ending was especially ridiculous. If you want to see a decent cave movie, see "The Cave" or "The Descent".

Acting was solid?? I know good or bad acting is subjective, but...oh my, I don't know what to say. The actors seemed to switched characters between scenes. The screamer turns into the leader, the jerk turns into the crier, the leader turns into the screamer, and so on. Actors saying lines from a crappy script, imo.

All the attack scenes consisted of were people screaming, the camera shaking more than Michael J. Fox, and something blurry moving on screen. Seriously, watching the camera shake like that made me want to vomit. I know they intended the shaking to add to the tension and suspense, but they failed. I'm not really the best acting critic, but to say that the characters were well-drawn is like saying George W. Bush was a good president. The only character that got any sort of back story was the black guy (I don't even remember his name, that says something in itself). The other characters we're left guessing about.

That's a low blow to Michael J Fox, lol.
It annoys me when the camera is shaky when it's not a first hand camera movie.
Unless there is someone videotaping and screaming, "OMG! What is that?!" I want some clear shots. An earthquake scene is even acceptable for that type of shooting.

wait, hold up a minute... this is the movie that ends with a tremendously pointless rape scene after delivering a stupid twist that no one really cared about? what a load of dribble.
how can this be better than the descent?
who cares if this film is more 'realistic'? if i wanted to see realism i would watch a documentary, not a movie where cave explorers are savaged by some mangled kid in a silly costume.

There should be no discussion on this movie, there is no arguement, there is no point in defending your opinion on this movie by saying it comes down to personal individual taste or a different artistic viewpoint of film making.

This is the worst film i have seen in a long time and i have watched thousands. It is bad.

I liked this movie too. I think Decent appeals to a more mainstream audience, everything spelled out, no thinking involved. I keep reading reviews that say no story line...? Pardon. There is a plot and storyline. The camera work was a bit annoying but interesting. I thought it really conveyed the disorientation and panic that the cavers were feeling.
The ending of the movie seems to be a problem for many reviewers because it wasn't a neat little package, tied with a bow. Personally I prefer movies and stories that aren't spoonfed to me.

Shot wonderfully?! The camerawork was amateurish at best. The lighting was appalling. And God knows what was going on with the colour balance in first 15 mins of the film. Looks like it was shot on out of date film stock.

Truly bizarre.
TRULY BAD!
