Two reviews of "Telling Lies":

http://www.videobusiness.com/article/CA6569968.html

"Vincent," invented by Faith and Eve to win back Faith's ex-boyfriend, is the perfect ploy for jealousy...until Detective Maggie Thomas (Melanie Brown of the Spice Girls) arrests Faith, "Vincent-¦s" body found in a nearby hotel. Faith swears "Vincent" was made up by Eve, but Detective Thomas and Faith's father (Jason Flemyng, Stardust) believe it's Eve--with no existing records--who isn't real. All evidence against her, Faith must unravel the mysterious connection between "Vincent," Eve, and herselfa connection that's much closer--and deadlier--than she realized.
It takes a while for the story to hit its stride, but once the pieces are in place, Telling Lies is an intriguing British murder mystery with a psychological twist. In a prolonged prelude, Faith Munro (Jenna Harrison) recalls the events leading to the murder of a stranger who implicates her as the killer. Things get more interesting when Faith can’t prove that her alibi witness, an edgy friend named Eve (Kelly Stables), exists, which raises questions of Faith’s sanity. Melanie Brown—aka Scary Spice of the Spice Girls—offers a fine turn as a detective who must figure it out.

Shelf Talk: This U.K. TV import is unknown on these shores, but Brown’s already high profile benefited from a recent Spice Girls concert tour, and she’s the main selling point. Co-star Jason Flemyng’s memorable turns in Snatch and Stardust have earned him a front and center slot on the box art, which might catch a few eyes. Other than that, push Telling Lies to thriller and mystery fans.
