Women and their Sons

I think it was really sad how Herman and his family treated Magdalena. I noticed that a lot of the time that women react it that same exact way when it comes to their sons. When the daughters get pregnant, its their fault, and they are ready to throw her out in the street, but when the son gets a girl pregnant they'll rally around him and point the finger at the girl. Oh she's trying to trap him and hold him back.

It was obvious that he was the father. If Herman was not, the family would not have been so frightened to the point where they would send him away. If I was his mother, even if I had not liked the situation I would've given the girl the benefit of the doubt, and not taken the cowards way out, and sent my son away.
