Vanessa's performance

She has a beautiful voice and sings well, she could also act.
She was so great in "Soul Food".
Even she turned down the leading role in "Monster's Ball" that it could've made her Oscar winner, she is at her pace as an actress.
"My Brother" is a small movie, but I'm looking forward to her performance.

I'd watch anything with her. She was great in "Soul Food" and "Eraser." I didn't know about "Monster's Ball." She probably would've done an excellent job, but I still don't think Halle Berry deserved the Oscar for that.

Not only is she incredibly talented at everything she does, she is one of the nicest people I know. Everyone should support her career...this movie looks incredible!! Can't wait! Good luck V!

reply

I know? So you know V? Y Es she is a great person outside of her career that's some of the reason she's gotten so far she's a really good person.

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Williams outside the stage door in 2002, after her acclaimed performance in Stephen Sondheim's revival of "Into the Woods". She was so talented, merciless, and touching as the evil Witch that she portrayed. She was stepping into the shoes of Bernadette Peters, who originated the role in 1987. Well, Miss Williams was very gracious, sweet, and signed my "Playbill" magazine. She was very delightful and took questions and answered stuff like how it was like working with the theater giant, Mr. Sondheim. She was nominated for a 2002 Tony for Best Actress. So, anything Vanessa Williams does, is something to reckoned with.

reply

Absolutely. I love her new album and her role in South Beach was juicy and hot. She is in a new pilot for ABC called Ugly Betty- for the summer- and I read a review somewhere saying Vanessa has the most compelling role and she's evil! Now THAT I can't wait to see!

Vanessa Williams fan # 1

Her performance was stunning, she's currently in Ugly Betty and plays well in that, but she brought a lot of emotion to this movie and i loved it.
