the beginning

i found this film overall terrible. what i don't understand is the portrayal of the villian. he is just one dimensional. his portrayal is just like "look, he's evil". end of story. since this is based on a real world case, how about doing some research and at least give him and therefore the movie some debt?

the beginning especially. i was close to turning it off. "hey, look. two strange girls. they must be lesbians. let's kill them." and then he kills them. and everybody around him seems just to be cool to never say a word about it.

what????

sorry, but i don't need to research the case to know, that this can not be it.

that's like portraying the manson family story like this:

manson meets a couple of strange women in a diner one morning:

manson: "hi, i'm charlie"
girls: "hi charlie nice to meet you"
manson"nice to meet you to. now go out and kill sharon tate"
girls: "ok, charlie"

girls kill sharon tate.

all get imprisoned.

end.

I don't know what movie you watched but my experience was nothing like yours. I generally hate low budget movies like this but I loved this one. Great soundtrack, good acting and some surprising but good camera visual effects that took away some of the low budget feel. The only thing that would have made it better IMHO would have been a little more development on a few of the characters.
