$80,000

How did this movie cost $80,000? And if it did, people should stop talking about shooting on the difficulties of no-budget filmmaking. I was quite impressed with this film until I saw its budget. I thought it was a great film made on a few hundred bucks.

The Budget was $9,000. $80,000 is an estimate of the budget not the budget.

It's an action film. What action film do you know that was made for less then a hundred grand. People think they know about films because they watch them and they judge all day long never knowing what it takes to get them done and get them out there. It's was a low budget film with everyone's pay deffered even the produces that worked in pre-production for free for several years. This is why the budget stands as such. The cash that was on hand was far less. Hale Manor Productions purchased a cameras and spend thousands of dollars in post, build that huge well, hired the actors made the costumes, renting the lights and equiptment. Do you really think you can show a wide shot from fifty feet away from a well and have it show up at night with out huge lights. I'm tired just exhausted having to rationalize why films cost money. If everyone was paid the deferred money the budget would be about $80,000 and you don't discount that money just because people you have to pay them after the film breaks even. If you just counted the cash we spent on props, lights costumes, actors and so one the budget would sit around $8,000 but judge all day. No one above has there facts straight.
