Annoying French segments without dubbing or hardcoded subtitles

Anybody else hated the French interview segments with Mathieu Kassovitz (director of Gothika)? In a perfectly normal English movie you have some French segments without dubbing or subtitles. These just spoiled my watching experience, otherwise the movie was ok.

I agree it was completely aggravating. I kept thinking maybe my tv somehow goofed up the ratio and cut off the sub-titles but nope. And then I kept thinking maybe the dude actually is speaking English but his French accent is so thick I just can't understand it. But nope. Dude was speaking French.

But yeah, the lack of subtitles with with a dude randomly speaking French in a hip-hop-ish "sneaka" movie was mind-boggingly annoying. It was so annoying that I was compelled to look on IMDB in hopes that other people were discussing the aggravation of lack of sub-titles, thus my bumping a thread that's over a year old.

Other than that, I really liked the movie.

I have the dvd which has subtitles. I get what you mean though it can ruin the flow when he is talking.

I loved the doc, I am into shoes and appreciate hunting for them.
