WAYYYYY Better than Wall E

More Enjoyable, better family friendly film, overall a really cute movie, beautiful animation, funnier, better message, and easier plot. This deserves just as much attention as Wall E.

If you say so...

I've always been a Pixar fan but this time I wourld have to say that; I agree! Horton is way more entertaining than Wall-E. I'm simply a fan of good movies, and Horton hears a Who! was a brilliant film.

reply

"Brilliant" in what way?

How do you think it is superior to Wall-E. Please be specific...

reply

I liked both movies. I probably like Wall-E a touch more but I have no complaints about HHAW

Uh, everyone has their own opinion, but i truly believe that HHaW was not any better than Wall-E. Granted, Wall-E is a very overrated movie, but HHaW was very ANNOYING! It was absolutely NOTHING like the old story, and truthfully, i'm getting tired of Hollywood butchering Dr. Seuss's beloved tales and turning them into corny, overdrawn versions of their meaning. This version was simply Jim Carrey overacting in an animated elephant form, potraying an annoying personality. In the book, Horton was a caring, gentle creature, not some nutball with too much caffeine. It was just an excuse to turn a perfectly good story(already perfectly done in animation) and turn it into an AniManiacs version for mentally unprepared kids to see. True it was cute(at times), nice animation, not that funny, and the message was there, if you could find it through all the chaos and cheesy dialogue. I'm not saying it was the worst thing ever put on film, but a lot of people agree that Dr. Seuss would be spinning in his grave if he knew what we were doing to his stories.

I disagree. This movie was definitely excellent and WAY better than I thought it would be, but I still like WALL-E more... though that's just my own personal opinion.

Hrm... I'm not sure what would make WALL-E not family friendly, and I'm not sure why the plot of Horton Hears a Who was "easier" and why the message was "better." They both have very different messages, so I don't think that's comparable. Could you explain why WALL-E wasn't as family friendly and what you mean when you say an "easy" plot? I'm not saying you're wrong... I'm just wondering what you mean.

Though I do agree that this movie deserves more attention than it got. It was excellent and a great tribute to the Dr. Seuss book.

Mur?

Some people can't love a movie without hating on another.

reply

better? nah.
funnier? yes.

it's like comparing south park to the simpsons. both are good, funny, but they target a different type of audience with different styles.

totally disagree. i loved WALLE. Especially how it portrayed humans, the robots were more human than the humans. It was a great movie. I liked Horton but it was definately more of a kids film, and i like watching kids films, but WALLE was beter i think.
