shareI turned Kung Fu Panda off 30 minutes in.
Most paranormal debunkers are terrified its all true and are desperate to prove its not
The Academy is so focused on their arrogance and just choose to miss out on a good family movie.

Yes. "Coraline" was a damn good movie, too. : )

"Horton" unfortunately happened to fall in one of the best years (if not THE best) for full-length animated features in motion picture history.
It definitely deserved the nomination, but so did "Kung Fu Panda" (probably the best DreamWorks animated movie ever, even outdoing the "Shrek"s IMO) and "Wall-E" (one of Pixar's top three, just a delight from start to finish).
I caught this on cable yesterday and was really sad I missed this in the theaters. "Horton" is the most brilliant Dr. Seuss adaptation I've ever seen and will hopefully be the template for hilarious, eye-popping Geisel adaptations for years to come.
God forbid the Academy awards nominating a non Disney/Dreamworks film...!
sharePerhaps you can't believe it because Hollywood had the good taste to not honor this awful adaptation of a classic Dr. Seuss book (and 70's cartoon special). This was extremely childish...and they ruined the character of Horton, especially having Jim Carrey do the voice. Jim Carrey needs to stick to comedies like Fun with Dick and Jane, he was actually good in that.
