When They were Kids

When I first saw this movie I assumed young David and Frank grew up to be Boris Kodjoe (David) and Omar Gooding (Wesley). But now rewatching I'm assuming young Frank is the guy who turned out to become a reverend and marry Nona Gayes character. Is that correct?

Also when they were kids there were camera shoots towards a young girl in the church. Of course I use to assume perhaps it was an image to what Tamyra Gray (Rain) looked like as a kid but now assuming it was an image of Nona Gaye (Charlene) as a kid. Does anyone recall this girl and if she actually was meant to represent anyone specific?
