I couldn't feel sorry for them. Now I know some people have had really bad childhoods and so they turn to drugs. But I was watching early on emorning and I was thnking they need to OD to take them out of their misery. I felt bad for her son. Why go to Detox when all they were going to do is get high again?

Detox? Free temp bed.. free food... no hustling.. it's a holiday for junkies.
You're not supposed to feel empathy or sympathy for them.
shareThere is nothing warm or fuzzy about it I think you hit the nail on the head. The only time they want to get clean is when they hit a wall and can't hustle enough for a decent fix only enough at most for a don't get sick hit. The program offers better detox drugs than what they can get and a warm bed. They recharge leave and start all over again.
