This game is in First Person. The plot? Corporal Baker has just been promoted to Seargant, and is assigned as squad leader for 3rd squad, first platoon, third battalion of the 502nd PIR (parachute infantry regiment). He now has to deal with his men getting killed, and the fear of getting killed himself. After D Day, Baker is assigned taking Carentan along with the rest of the 101st airborne. Missions: they go from the night drop in to Normandy to the defense of Hill 30. How good is it? This is by far the most realistic and authentic WWII game ever made. It's so good that the History Channel used game play for one of it's documentaries. The graphics are state of the art. Try it!
bonus: characters:
Allen and Garnett - the jokesters of third squad. Every time the squad is down, they cheer them up with lighthearted fun.
Baker - Well, he's Baker! As I've said, he's very worried about his squad and himself in the face of combat.
Red - his real name is Joe Hartsock. Red is your average every day soldier. Nicknamed for his shock of red hair, he is one of Baker's best men. He is Baker's fire team leader.
Corrion - like Hartsock, Corrion is one of Baker's best men. Corrion is the leader of Baker's assault team.
Mac - Mac is the leader of first platoon. Gruff and brave in the midst of combat, Mac is always serious.
Leggett - The radio operator for third platoon, Leggett wants to be a soldier, but the airborne wasn't sure if he was going to be able to fire his weapon (not really, but he took a lot of s*it from the other guys in the platoon, for not being tough enough.)
there are others, but they are not very important to the plot.
Hope this helps!
